Wash and slice Green Tomatoes. Do Not peel. Mix Salt, Black Pepper and if you want, A little Garlic Powder. sprinkle on sliced tomatoes. dip slices in Buttermilk and let soak a couple of minutes. Dip soaked slices in a mixture of corn meal and flour (can add more seasoing to mix if you desire) Friy in deep fat.
