Good Morning 12 12 12

 

Hello ... And Good Morning.  I'm doing well.  Stayed up after Jerry left for work and did a few things on my computer. I've done a little housework as well.  I've gotten my breakfast (Oatmeal with fruit in it) and my first cup of coffee.

 

Outside my door ... It is cool and Gray.  I don't need my coat just a jacket to take the dogs out. But that's because we are not outside for very long. I hope to play ball with Barney this afternoon for a bit.
I opened a can of Beef Stew and had that for dinner last night.  It's a store brand from when we were in Clarksville and I got it at the Hilltop grocery store. It's nothing to brag about but it did fill me up. Just seemed a bit too bland for me.
We had two cats sleep in the house last night (Strips and Fuzzybutt) I haven't seen Tupelo since I fed the cats last night. I put some dry catfood out this morning for the cats. I'm sure she'll show up sometime soon for her share of it.

 

From the kitchen... I have some All-Beef Hot dogs that I'll fix for my dinner tonight.  That and a salad will most likely be all I have.

 

I am hearing... Local news on Channel 7. The heater fans are going well.
Someone is blowing a car hom in the other section. Just a beep or two but that makes Rocky bark and it took me threating him to get him to stop barking. Now he's asleep on his pillow again.

 

I am wearing... Black Sweat Pant and my black Spirit Horse shirt. I will be looking for more lighter colored Tops next time I get to do some shopping.

 

I am reading... Exodus 9.

 

I am hoping... That Jerry gets 4 days off for Christmas. I found out that some of the fellow's are Requestiong days off at Christmas and the rumor is that if enough ask for it then everyone will get it. I did tell Jerry I would love to visit Williamsburg If he does get 4 days off. According to mapquest it's only a 3 hour drive.  We can do that.
I am creating... I didn't have enough store bought Christmas cards last week for everyone. I found the ones I cut out back in October and I am decorating up a few of those to send off to some of the people who were not on my card exchange lists.

 

One of my favorite things... Sitting with my Hubby on the couch after he gets home from work.

 

A few plans for the day... Put the window clings on the window by the door.
 I'm going to put them on the outside and see if they will stay on with this weather. If not, then I'm move them to the inside of the window behind the couch.
make the bed, wash the dishes, vacumn the floors and so on.. daily house chores that I've been neglecting.

3 1/4 cup Buttermilk Baking Mix
1/2 cup Water
1/2 cup Chopped Nuts
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 cup Carnation Milk (evaoprated milk)
1 1/2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

 

Combine baking mix, cheese, carnation milk, water nuts and egg. Mix vigorously until blended. Spoon into buttered 9 x 5x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350F for 40 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm or cold.

3/4 cup Sugar
1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
3 Large Eggs
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
2 1/2 cups Biscuit Mix
1 1/2 cup Mashed Bananas, about 3 bananas
1/2 cup Chopped Walmuts or Pecans

 

Preheat oven to 350, Grease or line 18 muffin cups.
Combine sugar and vegetable oil in a large bowl, beat with a mixer until well blended. Beat eggs and vannilla into sugar mixture. Add biscuit mix and bananas and mix well Stir in the nuts.
Fill the prepared muffin cups two thirds full with the batter. Bake until toothpick inserted in the centers come out clean. about 17 minutes

Winter White Glitter Ornaments

Winter White Glitter OrnamentsSometimes simple ideas are best, and that's the case with these homemade glitter ornaments. Use cookie cutters - or our free printable Christmas shapes template - to make paper cutouts, then cover in winter white glitter to make pretty hanging ornaments for the Christmas tree.

Please note: younger children can use safety scissors to cut out their ornaments, but a craft knife is very sharp and should only be used for this project by responsible adults.

Craft Supplies:

White heavy weight paper (40lb minimum)

• free printable Christmas shapes template
• Clear drying craft glue
• White glitter
• Scissors or craft knife
• Specialty hole punch or other tool to punch hole
• Ribbon or decorative cord

Craft Project Instructions:

Trace templates on heavy paper and cut out with scissors or craft knife (use self healing cutting mat if you use a craft knife). Punch a hole at the top centre of your cut out using a hole punch or other sharp object that will poke a hole for hanging. I used a wood pointed toothpick to punch the holes. A standard hole punch is too large for this project.

Apply glue to one side of the paper cut out and cover glued area with glitter. Allow this to set for just a minute and then you'll be able to handle it, but be careful not to damage what you have just glittered. If your a little skeptical, wait until this layer is dry before you continue.

Apply glue to the other side of the ornament and apply glitter to this side as well. Place your ornament on a smooth flat surface (I used a cookie sheet) to dry completely. Do not disturb your ornaments until they are dry. If you do, you risk causing them to warp slightly.

Once your ornament is dry, clear any glitter that has filled the hole by pushing a toothpick through the hole. Tie a piece of decorative cord or ribbon through the hole to use as a hanger.

Good Monday Morning

Hello ...  and good morning... I hope your weekend went well.  My was mostly boring.  Getting up, making Jerry breakfast, going back to bed after walking the dogs...and not getting much done around the camper.  I need to kick this funk out of my life. 
Saturday's afternoon was not peaceful at all. I don't know what was going on. but Air Horns do not belong in a campground. And they were shoot off a rifle again.  And there was loud music and yelling. That is until who ever it is that drives the club cab white truck pulled in, then it got very quiet.  I called the office and Wanda said she was closing up the office and would come and tell them to knock it off.  Didn't work. either she didn't come around or as soon as she left they started "playing" again.  I know I'll be making the walk over to the office sometime this week and I'll ask the owners wife about the air horn.  I know these men are suppose to be out of here soon but it's not soon enough for me. This is suppose to be a family campground. Not a hunting camp. Not like Elk Harbor, and I know that Momma D would not have put up with the air horns at her campground. Not if she knew what that did to the dogs. They all three did not like that noise at all.
Sunday was very peacful but that's because the "Adults" were home,
 I think I spend more time with Jerry when he gets home at night than I did on Satureday and Sunday when he worked less hours.  Saturday, He had to buy a new tool, and I sat in the van waiting for him.  I took another fall. This time it was just stupid.  I took the dogs to the back of the camper because they were still shooting guns and I didn't know what direction they were going. It was dark, and I figured I would just sit on the end of the picnic table bench while the dogs did what they had to do. I missed the end of the bench.  I just got jarred up a bit, Not even a burse (except my ego)  Sunday, I went into Wal-Mart and did the shopping. I picked up a zipper for Bailey's dress, thread to match. Corbin's Remote control Truck. (Now to find a box to ship it in), and the grocries.  I tried to call Jerry to ask how many cola's to pick up for him. Since he didn't answer,  I just picked up 3 for him, I figure if he wants more he can pick it on on his way home from work. I know he's picking up cola's to drink on his way into work. Anyway. He stayed out in the van while I was shopping as almost as soon as we were in through the  door he had his shower and was in bed before I had all the food put away.  He's just that tired.  He said that those seven 12 hour days are just a rumor.. I bad one I pray. He needs some time off.  I do hope that they go back to having Sunday off. That would be best. Everyone needs at least one day off. I asked Jerry if he was going to take his birthday off or not. He said he don't know yet. He just might, now that I planted the idea in his head.
I ordered a Potty Chair for Beth for Heahter. She waited until Sunday and Wal-mart was out of the one she wanted.  I ordered it from Amazon and it's the same price but the shipping was $18 more.  I told her she could pay be back when they get their tax check in this next Spring.
Outside my door ... (8:30) It's grey, again.  a bit foggy in area's.  The High is suppose to be in the low 60's.  That would be nice I can open the door again if it's that warm outside. Tomorrow's nigh is suppose to only be in the upper 40's.  and wet.

 

The Dogs ...(8:30)  Well Macon is asleep on Jerry's bed. Rocky is asleep on My bed and Barney is in the kennel sleeping.  I'll take them out in a bit, to play a little bit.

 

The Cats ...(8:30) Strips slept inside last night, (in a kennel) but all three are in now. They all know, once Jerry leaves for work, I'll let them in to get a drink of fresh water and a nibble of dog food. 

 

From the kitchen...(8:30) I don't know what I'm going to fix for my dinner yet. I did buy a rottersiry Chicken last night figuring I can get at least three meals off of it.

 

I am hearing... (8:30) CBS Morning news.   The heating in the back is running a bit. The fridge just stopped. 

 

I am wearing...  (8:30) A night gown, still.  Once I walk the dogs again, I'll take a shower and get dressed for the day

 

I am reading...(8:30)  some emails so far today

5 Tablespoons Butter
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1 large Egg
2 Egg Whites
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 1/2 cups mashed ripe Banana
1 3/4 cup all-purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 cup Heavy Cream
1/3 cup Chopped Nuts

Preheat oven to 350F. Spray bottom only of a loaf pan with cooking spray
Beat butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add sugar and brown sugar, beat well. Add, egge whites and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Add mashed bananas and beat on high speed for 30 seconds.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder in a medium bowl. Add flour mixture to teh butter mixture alternating with cream, ending with flour mixture. Add nuts to batter, mix well.
Pour evenly into a prepared loaf pan. Bake until brown and toothpick inserted near the middle comes out clean, about 1 hour and 15 minutes
Cool for 10 minutes in the pan. Remove from pan and cool completely.

Cinnamon Popcorn

Cinnamon Popcorn

 

1 1/2 c Sugar
1 C Butter
3/4 C Lt Corn Syrup
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
2 Tsp Cinnamon Oil (adjust to your own tasts, this is strong stuff)
Red food color, a few drops
6 quarts popped corn

 

Combine sugar, butter and syrup in a heavy pan and bring to boil.
Boil 6 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, ad rest of the
ingredients except the corn. Pour over popped corn and mix well in
an oiled roasting pan. Bake 1 hour at 200o. Stirring every 15
minutes, or until dry to the touch.

 

* found this recipe in my mom's recipe box. We love it. I add 1
to 2 cups peanuts to this.
